Vivek Johri appointed as Chairman of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs
Senior bureaucrat Vivek Johri has been appointed as the chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). Vivek Johri is a 1985 batch Indian Revenue Service officer and is currently serving as a member of CBIC.
Sanjay Dutt appointed as the brand ambassador of Arunachal Pradesh
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been appointed as the state’s brand ambassador to mark the 50th anniversary of the naming of Arunachal Pradesh. Sanjay Dutt is known for doing more and more films every year.
Apart from catering to tourists, ad films for Arunachal Pradesh tourism, Sanjay Dutt will be taking initiative with the youth of the state on drug de-addiction campaigns and other major issues which remain a cause of concern in the state.
President’s Standard to be awarded ‘Vessel Squadron’
Indian Navy’s 22nd Missile Vessel Squadron will be awarded the President’s Standard. President Ram Nath Kovind will felicitate him on Wednesday. This award is a rare honor for his distinguished service.
The Vessel Squadron destroyed the ships of the Pakistani Navy in the port of Karachi in the 1971 war. Vessel Squadron is known as “Killers”.
Argentina won the Junior Hockey World Cup 2021
Argentina has won the Junior Hockey World Cup 2021. Argentina defeated Germany 4-2 in the final played at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. This is Argentina’s second World Cup title. Earlier, the team has also won the title in 2005. Germany has been a 6-time champion.
