A new type of infection has emerged between the threat of Corona and its new variant Omicron. The first case of this infection has been seen in Israel, which is being called Florona. Such infection has been seen for the first time since the start of the Kovid-19 epidemic in the world in March 2020.

Ajay Kumar Kakkar received the prestigious KBE Award

Indian-origin British educationist and member of the House of Lords Lord Ajay Kumar Kakkar has been awarded the ‘Knight Commander of the Order of the British Umpire’ (KBE).

The KBE is the second-highest honor in the UK’s annual New Year’s Honors list. 50 professionals of Indian origin have also been honored on this list.

Semiconductor mission launched in India

Recently, Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has launched Semiconductor Mission for India. The objective of this mission is to develop India into a global hub of electronics manufacturing and design by building the semiconductor industry.

The Indian Semiconductor Mission (ISM) has been set up as a specialized and independent business division under Digital India Corporation.

This mission has been authorized to interact with applicants under Semiconductor Fab Scheme and Display Fab Scheme. This mission provides autonomy to applicants for suitable technology mix, applications, node production, etc.
